About the System
Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) in collaboration with the National Council for Technical Education (NACTE) and higher education institutions has established a Central Admission System (CAS), which will be operational starting 2010/2011 admissions.
TCU Central Admission System selects applicants into higher education institutions basing on their academic results and criteria set for each programme. Applicants who are to use the system are those who completed their national Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education during 1988 to present. Applicants holding foreign certificates should download the form from the system, fill the form in duplicate and send one copy for validation at the National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA) and the other copy to TCU.
Applicants are advised to read the instructions carefully available on the system and the Student Guidebook when lodging their applications.
